How to adjust Hiking Poles: The forearm which holds the pole must be at right angles with the arm along the body. When walking downhill or when pushing hard on mountainous terrain, or when adventure racing, for example, people sometimes adjust them longer. To adjust them: unscrew the middle section, beneath the ring of the lower section, adjust to size (in cm), and screw back on tightly, but not too much; repeat with lower section. NEVER GO OVER THE "STOP LINE", or the pole may break during use.

Storage Advice: Store your poles in a dry place without tightening the locks.

Care Instructions: If the pole gets wet, wipe it with a cloth or allow it to dry to prevent it from rusting which would cause problems opening and closing it. Do not use lubricants.
