Fira series of tents are designed for 3-season usage. If you are looking for a high-quality light-weight tent with self-contained stability and 3-season weather-proof, this is your tent. The LITE version builds on the proven design of the Fira series and offers lighter materials to ensure savings in weight for backpacking trips. It also provides a fully breathable Nylon inner tent as opposed to the inner of regular Fira tent with a lot of mesh. The trail weight of the tent is 2.05 kg. We understand that this is not the lightest tent for the given floor area but this is large because we prefer to use 70D Rip-Stop Nylon for the tent’s groundsheet. We could also choose to use 20D Nylon for the groundsheet and lose another 300 grams but that would require the buyer to always buy and carry a Footprint with the tent to avoid abrasion and we feel it is not always ideal. With Gipfel Fira tent you never have to buy a footprint. Just our groundsheet is enough! The interiors of this tent are ample for two persons. The tent is built to withstand heavy downpours of rain and even snow. It features patented Jake’s foot attachments and our ring tensioners.

Tethys Tents are our very uniquely designed Hybrid shaped tents. It combines the comfort and lighter weight of a tunnel tent with the stability of a geodesic dome-shaped tents.

Generally, simple Dome tents are easy to set up because they are free-standing and do not need guy lines to pitch them but they are not so stable in the wind and the headroom is rather limited. Geodesic domes are far more stable than simple domes but they are complex to set up and are heavier. Tunnel tents are lighter in weight, easier to set up and have generous headroom but they are not free-standing. If you do not have enough space to extend guy lines, then it can be tricky to pitch them tightly. Additionally, rainwater and snow can accumulate on the top of the outer tent between the poles. Tethys tent combines the best of both worlds. It is roomy like a tunnel tent but has the free-standing nature of a dome tent combined with the structural stability of a geodesic dome. The aerodynamic shape and the sloping roofs easily sheds the water, snow, and wind. The interiors of this tent are expansive and airy. Thanks to a water resistant and breathable laminated to the canopy fabric, the condensation has been minimized. High Mountain 4 PLUS is a 4 seasons tent designed for serious mountaineering expeditions on medium to very high altitudes. While the design and size of the inner tent living area of this tent are the same as that of our standard High Mountain 4 tent there are additions of the extra-large vestibule on one side and extra-large storm flaps all around the tent.

The extra-large vestibule adds to the comfort of the mountaineers. It is spacious enough for a person to sit outside the tent area and even cook.

The storm flaps keep the elements out as well as helps in weighing down the tent by placing snow and/or rocks on them.

All our High Mountain 4 and 4 PLUS tents now feature upgraded waterproof and water repellent Silnylon rain flies. The inner canopies are now constructed from breathable and water repellent rip-stop Nylon

The doors on the rain fly of the vestibule area are on the sides, unlike the standard High Mountain 4 tent with roll-up doors in the middle. This feature makes it comfortable for the users to enter and exit the tent even when the vestibule is occupied by another person or large luggage.

Nubra 2 is 2 persons, 3 seasons tent but what makes this different from other tents is extra space inside the inner tent canopy to keep your backpacks. Having the backpack inside makes living in it more comfortable. Although it is recommended for 3 seasons use, the tent has been tested on the summit camp of Stok Kangri in Leh, India (altitude: 6,153 meters) and has performed magnificently.

Unlike most other tents, this tent has a trapezoidal floor area. The tent is wider on the front (door side) and narrower on the rear. A small vestibule pole makes the door walls vertical and allows for a big vestibule. The groundsheet is made from heavy-duty and puncture-resistant Polyethylene. The seams around the stress points are reinforced with Nylon straps to achieve resistance to ripping even when the tent is continuously pitched for weeks in a row. This is a double layer, all-season, free-standing and outer first winter tent that you can bank upon during longer expeditions in extreme weather conditions.

This is a durable and feature-rich tent, thus making it an ultimate mountaineering tent. The inner tent’s doors have double layers of mesh and fabric. You could unzip the fabric layer to allow cross-ventilation from a mesh. Vestibules are large enough to accommodate 4 x 60l packs. The Outer and Inner tent are connected to each other at all times thus cutting back on the pitching time significantly.
